In on of the final events on the Merensky Archery Club’s calendar for 2018, two teams participated on 17 and 18 November in the 3Di National Championships at Magnum Archery in Gauteng.
On day 1 Sean Hunt managed a provincial qualifier, while the star of the club, Lin-Mari Theron, once again made a Protea qualifier.
Day 2 set the stage for the Plasies to shine with two ProQs by Sean and Lin-Mari. Lin-Mari also claimed gold, with Sean, Martin Mostert and Canell Jackson reaping bronze. Beneche Jackson and Dawie Theron returned home as Triple Crown winners.
The Merensky 1 team (Lin-Mari Theron, Sean Hunt, Ryan Jackson and Canell Jackson) were awarded silver. Merensky 2 (Rikus Faurie, Rohan Wewege, Ashley Hunt and Armand Wiers) took bronze.
