Merensky girls’ hockey victorious

Merensky girls’ hockey played a friendly match against Rob Ferreira High School on Saturday 16 April.

The u.14 girls had an astonishing 7-0 victory. Danielle Kasselman scored two awesome goals, and one each were scored by Zonica van Niekerk, Leone Slabbert, Michelle Brummer, Bianca Prinsloo and Charlize Meyer. The Plasies are very proud of this team and can’t wait to see what they are going to achieve in the coming season.

The u.15 girls played a good match. With about 80% ball possession, they struggled to score, but managed two goals by Juanet Venter and Lize-Ri Snyman. Lianca Pieterse was awarded player of the match.

The u.16 girls played well together as a team and had good communication on the field. They caught their opposing team on the back foot and won the game 4-2. Players of the match were Liné Fourie and Anri McLean.

The 2nd team girls won 2-0. Goals scored by Roelien O’Neill and Kristen Adendorff. Players of the match were Lize Crafford and Anri Janse van Rensburg.

The first team girls dominated this match from the word go, and won the match 5-0. Goals were score by Xané du Toit (2), Corli van der Merwe(1) and Michelle Stevens(2). An awesome performance by Michelle Stevens awarded her the title of player of the match once again.

The hockey boys also gave their all and the u.14 team won their game with a 1-0 score.
