Francois O’Connell (grade 9) in Merensky High School is the proud recipient of a pair of Puma rugby boots courtesy of the Shadowball team.

Francois competed in the 2017 Nashua Rugby Skills Project (NRSP) held at Merensky on 22 March 2017 hosted by Nashua Limpopo. During the first visit to the school the Shadowball team, along with some SA rugby legends, taught players vital passing and catching skills. Drills were scored and rated by player and school.

Upon the Shadowball teams’ second visit on 13 June 2017, Francois displayed the greatest improvement in skills and was crowned the most improved player.

Nashua Limpopo and Merensky High School would like to congratulate Francois on his achievement and wish him every success for the upcoming rugby season.
