Plasie bikers go all out at Louis Trichardt XCO

Ten bikers from Merensky High School participated in the treacherous Louis Trichardt XCO Mountain Biking event on 17 September. The Plasie peddlars once again proved that they are a force to be reckoned with.

In the sub junior boys u.14 category Bevan Muller came 14th, Janco Coetzee 19th, Matthew Taylor 27th and Benjamin Freitas 36th.

Armand Cronjé ended 4th, Sheldon Muller 7th and Revan Beukes 25th in the youth boys u.16 category,

Merensky’s Amelia Middleton again showed her determination and skill by being the first junior girl u.18 to cross the finish line. Her team mates, Chelsea Schlebusch and Bernice Cronjé came 6th and 7th respectively.

Amelia Middleton and Janco Coetzee have been chosen to represent Limpopo at Nationals. Merensky High School came 3rd overall during this XCO race, thereby qualifying to send six cyclists to Nationals. These names will be announced soon.
