Plasie cyclists move mountains

Merensky High School’s cyclists continued their excellent performance this weekend at the final Limpopo Mountain Bike Marathon Series at Stanford Lake College on Saturday, 4 November.

In the 20km female u.18 race, Amelia Middleton achieved 1st position and Laryn Bezuidenhout came 2nd. Annalene Rood (u.14) managed an 8th position. In the male u.14 race, Shaun de Beer came 5th with John-Robert Honnibal in 15th position.

In the grueling 40km male u.16 race, Bevan Muller led the Plasie pack with a 2nd place, while Armand Cronje came 4th. Sheldon Muller took a 3rd place, and Kyle Jansen van Rensburg a 9th, in the male u.18 race. Armand and Sheldon both experienced technical bike difficulties, but still managed excellent placings.

After the final leg of the series, Limpopo Provincial Marathon Colours were issued to Sheldon Muller (1st u.18) and Armand Cronjé (1st u.16).
