Merensky High School’s Enslin Sambo (grade 12) is an up and coming basketball star.
He represented Limpopo as the shooting guard in the Limpopo Tigers team, who competed in the annual u.20 interprovincial basketball tournament, held in Sasolburg from 22-24 June. Eight provinces participated in this upcoming sport.
From the word go, the Limpopo Tigers was a force to be reckoned with. After winning all their games, they faced Star College in the semi-finals. A fierce battle took place with a determined Limpopo squad beating the Tshwane team, 47-44.
In the finals against North West, the boys from Limpopo reigned supreme on the court, boasting a walk-over victory of 44-26.
All the Plasies commend Enslin on his work with teenage basketball players in our community and trust that he will put basketball on the Tzaneen map.
