Gepubliseer op
It was game, set and match on 20 October when Merensky High School hosted their annual “Wimbledon” Day/Night Tennis tournament. This year 34 local tennis players registered to compete in the junior and senior doubles categories. In the junior section JP Botha (Tzaneen Primary) and Waldo Pretorius (Laerskool Dr Annecke) ruled the day. Jan-Pieter Botha and Willie Jonker won the senior mens’ doubles, while the senior ladies title went to Izelle du Preez and Hannerie du Toit. With the traditional strawberries and cream, the 2017 tennis year at Plasieland drew to a close.
