Versatile coach Alex performs

Merensky High School teacher and tennis coach, Alexandra Dreyer, displayed her versatile skills on horse back and tennis court over the weekend of 3 to 8 March. On 3 March Dreyer completed a qualifying equestrian endurance race over 80km in 4h30m at Louwna, Vryburg in which she was placed third. The following day she competed in the annual ITF national championships in Bloemfontein. She competed in the 30-35 age group, singles, doubles and mixed categories. Dreyer placed 2nd in the ladies singles and ladies doubles and 6th in the mixed doubles. She still retains the first seed in her age group in South Africa.

Merensky tennis coach excels

Alexandra Dreyer has been coaching the Plasie tennis players for the past two years. She is also a well known competitor in various tournaments. During 9-15 October she was one of the Gauteng North team members competing in an Inter Provincial Tournament in Port Elizabeth, hosted by the Eastern Province. She competed in the 30-35 year age group, and was seeded no. 3. This Gauteng North team was placed first in their category, winning Boland, WP, Gauteng East and Gauteng Central.
