On Wednesday, 23 August The Hive came alive with the first Wowee Wednesday presented by the new Merensky High School EC members. Originally the idea was to host this mini-show once a term, but due to popular demand it will now become a monthly initiative, promoting culture amongst the learners during breaks.

EC Member, Donné Oosthuizen was thrilled with the large audience, and said:  “Wow, finally, a perfect place to bring culture to the masses.” Performing during this memorable occasion were Mienké Lombard on keyboard, while Kesia Pohl and Danzi Ivy both delivered stunning vocal solos. The Plasies also took the opportunity to say goodbye to their favourite guy behind the sound desk, Ulrich Bähre, who is moving to Bethlehem.
